The Burning of Troy

A message from Laura...

Dear SDF,

As you may have heard, during Sunday’s evening performance of ‘The Trojan Women’, there was a fire alarm in CNH. The actors handled it like pros, carrying on with the performance without even flinching. Alexa’s mother caught a photo of the Trojan Women exiting the building as the fire fighters clearly made eyes.

Mrs. Holbrook has entitled it "The Firemen are called to the burning of Troy"

I thought the photo was far too hilarious not to share. Shout outs to the Trojan Women, who not only handled the surprise like professional actors by maintaining iron focus, but who also waited out the alarm to perform the show right from the beginning. I’ve been hearing raves about your dedication already.

Here’s hoping for less eventful, yet no less fantastic, shows.

We are only as good as our leaders, Laura and Anjie.

Thanks for the pic.

This anecdote is getting funnier and funnier now that it's behind us...

Laura didn't mention her calm walk to the stage to announce, over the din of the alarm, "Ladies and gentlemen, we're going to have a brief intermission..."

And also Anjie's more gut reaction outside: "Zeus, you &$^*@#$( $&(@#@!!!"
