BMOB 2: This Time, It's Not BMOB 1

Well, if Tori's going to advertise other festivals, then I am, too.

One of the two newest Renaissance Festivals in Ontario, the Royal Abingdon Faire, will be opening it's gates for the first time July 23, 2005! (Which is the day after SDF starts. Coincidence? Well, yes.)

There's girls in corsets, guys in tights, awesome food, large quantities of alcohol, real jousting, a human chess match, fire eating, music, magic shows, the court of King Henry VIII, and a whole lot of Shakespeare including Taming of the Shrew. It seems I can't escape that play this summer.

Anyway, it's at the Royal Botanical Gardens here in Hamilton, and is fully accessible by transit. Gates open at 10:45 and there's shows all day long, as well as random things happening in the streets of our pretend village of Abingdon. The Faire runs every weekend and statutory holiday until Labour day.

Yay.
